UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga has given opportunities for prospective new students who are not admitted through the SNMPTN and SBMPTN pathways. The opportunity is open for the Independent Admission (Mandiri) path.
Latest news, for the Independent Admission pathway in 2021, participants with Indonesian Smart Card – College (KIP-K) holders can take part in this admission pathway as stated by Prof Moh Nasih, UNAIR Rector.
Prof. Nasih said that UNAIR opens the widest opportunities for prospective students with financial constraints. He emphasized that finance should not be an obstacle for someone to study at UNAIR.
“UNAIR is very committed to facilitating students with potential in the academic field but are economically constrained,” said Prof. Nasih.
Regarding the registration of Independent Admission, the Head of UNAIR Student Admission Center (PPMB), Dr. Achmad Solihin S.E., M.Si. on Friday, June 18, 2021, revealed that registration is still open until June 20, 2021.
“We still provide opportunities for students who were not lucky last time in SNMPTN or SBMPTN, they can register in the independent admission pathway,” explained Solihin.
KIP-K registration is opened for participants of Independent Admission pathway because the KIP-K quota on the SNMPTN and SBMPTN pathways has not been fulfilled. The 2021 UNAIR Independent pathway is opened for all 44 undergraduate study programs.
In this Independent admission pathway, Solihin continued, participants with KIP-K are not charged with a registration fee. However, for KIP-K participants who have registered and have made payment, the fee cannot be withdrawn. If you pass the admission selection, the KIP-K participant selection will be carried out by the Education Financing Service Center (Puslapdik).
Students who have registered for the Independent pathway are scheduled to take a written test on June 26-29, 2021, in Surabaya. The test consists of Academic Potential Test (TPA) and the Academic Ability Test (TKA).
For this reason, Solihin appealed to all students who have not registered yet, immediately register through the PPMB website at https://pendaftaran.unair.ac.id/
“Register as soon as possible because it will be closed on June 20 at 23.59 WIB. Hurry up. Don’t register at the end of the day, for example, if there is a network congestion or a lack of files, there will be no chance to fix it,” said Solihin.
