UNAIR NEWS – Considering the people of Banyuwangi’s lack of concern for animals, Almujaddidi, a student of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH) PSDKU Universitas Airlangga in Banyuwangi with four of his colleagues started a business called Pagar Animal Care.

PAGAR Animal Care is a business that focuses on animal health services that has been running since 2019. To UNAIR NEWS team, Almujaddidi, as the founder, revealed that PAGAR Animal Care was formerly known as Pet Salon, which served hygiene and beauty care for dogs and cats.

Ajo explained, after switching to PAGAR Animal Care, they do not only offer animal beauty care services, but also animal care, animal health and wild animal rescue services.

Ajo explained, after switching to PAGAR Animal Care, they do not only offer animal beauty care services, but also animal care, animal health and wild animal rescue services.

“In accordance with our business name PAGAR, which stands for pet hotel, animal clinic, grooming and rescue, ” he explained.

There will be more animals served, including exotic animals from the reptile and poultry groups. “So it’s not just dogs and cats,” he added.

The business managed by Ajo (FKH 18), Gigih Fikrillah Sya’ban (FKH 18), Rini Apriliawati (FKH 19) Marcella Jessica (FKH 20) and Julia Kasih (FEB 19) also received KBMI funding in 2021. KBMI is an Indonesian student business competition held by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Ajo assessed that obtaining KBMI funding is quite easy, but he feels that he really has to prepare his business carefully.

“The consistency, relevance and competence of the business we run are tested here. Students who have business ideas and want to try to register KBMI may start now, don’t think too much, just do it, ” he said.

Meanwhile, Marcella Jessica, who is a new student, feels grateful to have been a part of PAGAR Animal Care. It is a rare and valuable opportunity to learn new things.

“I am grateful that I did not refuse Kak Ajo’s offer. This can be an opportunity to learn business and apply the knowledge I got during my studies,” she said.

Marcella hoped that the PAGAR Animal Care in the future can run well and provide benefits not only for students but also for people who need their services.

“Apart from that, it can also be a steady source of income for us,” she concluded. (*)
