UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga launched a facility in the form of a Social Service car was launched by  on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. The handover ceremony of Avanza type-G car unit to UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, SE., MT., Ak., from Social Fund Management Center (Puspas) UNAIR marked the launch of the service facility.

There will be more incidental and basic social services maximized by adding this facility. In the near future, priority services aim to provide the Covid-19 test, distribute aid, and pick up donations.

Head of Puspas Dr. Wisudanto, SE., MM, CFP., ASPM., said that the social service car is also equipped with a Covid-19 test kit in the form of two GeNose units. UNAIR academics and the general public can use this service by sending a letter to Puspas.

“We also provide the operator of this social service car. There are two people,” he said.

Hopefully, added Dr. Wisudanto, services to the community can be done optimally by UNAIR. For example, to encourage the implementation of offline activities by providing Covid-19 test service by UNAIR Puspas team.

Meanwhile, in responding to the service car’s handover, Prof. Nasih emphasized that community service is a very important value for the campus. It is a part of the tri dharma of higher education. It is also a form of accountability for science and the participation of academics in solving problems in the society.

“This facility (Puspas UNAIR, ed) is one of the tools provided by Universitas Airlangga to serve the community,” he said.

Hopefully, added Prof. Nasih, the optimization of services to UNAIR academic community could be carried out. For example, related to aid distribution services, obtaining assistance and donations, and other incidental services.

“We hope this car can certainly encourage the mobility of friends or activists of Puspas to provide services by collecting donations, as well as providing health services. For example, swab, rapid antigen test, “he said.

“So we can provide the best service to the community, including for donors as well,” he added.

Furthermore, Prof. Nasih expressed his gratitude to the donors who provide support and assistance. All of them are from the community and also to be used for the community even though UNAIR acts as an operator in these services.

“This is the people’s car. So, from society to society. The one who operates is indeed us, but we are only intermediaries who accept the mandate to help muzzaki, including those who give alms and those who are entitled to receive them, “he said. (*)
