Visiting UNAIR, Director General of Higher Education gives feedbacks and appreciation

UNAIR NEWS – Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture, Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., DIC, Ph.D., with his entourage visited Universitas Airlangga. They were welcomed directly by UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Moh. Nasih with the leadership ranks in the Rector’s Meeting Room, Floor 4, Campus C UNAIR on Friday, April 23, 2021.

On that occasion, Prof. Nizam and his entourage listened to the presentation regarding the development of education at UNAIR and the Merah Putih vaccine. In his opening remarks, UNAIR Rector Prof. Nasih emphasized that the visit of the Director General of Higher Education wanted to hear directly about the development of the vaccine UNAIR had been working on.

“There are two important things, apart from vaccination, the development of various activities that have been carried out at UNAIR,” explained Prof. Nasih.

Besides Prof. Nasih, a team from UNAIR Hospital, represented by Prof. Nasron as the director, conveyed the various roles and steps that have been taken. Both from the beginning to the pandemic handling. Meanwhile, from the vaccine team there was Prof. Nyoman, who explained that the vaccine-production stage has now reached the pre-clinical stage.

Furthermore, on the same occasion, the Dean of FK UNAIR Prof. Budi also delivered a presentation regarding the role of FK in advancing UNAIR and dealing with pandemics. He did not forget to explain the development of Ksatria Airlangga Floating Hospital, which has crossed the Indonesian seas and provided health services on remote islands in Indonesia.

After listening to these presentations, Prof. Nizam appreciated UNAIR’s role as one of the best universities with many achievements. In addition, Prof. Nizam is also proud that UNAIR is one of the largest centers for handling Covid-19 in Indonesia.

“Hopefully what has been done so far can be accelerated and realized. And really can be the pride of us all. We also continue to observe significant developments in UNAIR. Primarily in the health sector, “he concluded.
