UNAIR NEWS – Ainiyah Hasna Fadhilah has been named one of the youngest Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) students from SNMPTN 2021 pathway at the age of 15 years and 4 months. The new student known well as Hasna was admitted into the Public Health Program, Faculty of Public Health (FKM) UNAIR.

When interviewed by UNAIR NEWS on Monday, March 29, 2021, Hasna felt happy and grateful to get this achievement because she could make her parents proud. The student from Madiun only took 10 years to finish elementary and high schools education.

“I entered the elementary school when I hadn’t reached 6 years old. Then when I was at MTsN, I joined the PDCI (Special Intelligent Students) acceleration program for 2 years. And Alhamdulillah, at MAN (Islamic Senior High School) also participated in 2-year SKS (Semester Credit System) acceleration program, ” she explained.

At MAN, Hasna participated actively in extra-curricular activities at English Club. Her time was only focused on maximizing her studies. Hasna admitted that she was focused more on improving her academic marks in the report cards in 2 years of acceleration class.

Just before the announcement of the SNMPTN quota at schools, Hasna was very grateful to be included in the quota. Hasna then immediately conducted consultations with Counseling Guidance (BK) teachers, tutors, parents, and older alumni who were accepted at PTN through SNMPTN.

“After getting enough information, I started to solidify my wish, talent and passion,” she added.

Initially, Hasna planned to enroll in an engineering program because she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps in the Electrical Engineering program. However, before D-Day, Hasna made up her mind and finally chose Public Health program like her mother.

“Alhamdulillah, at the time of the announcement, with God’s permission I passed the 1st choice in FKM UNAIR,” she explained.

So far, Hasna’s family and school environment has been very supportive of her in achieving achievements. Her family supports her by providing strong motivation, inspiration, and prayers. Madrasah teachers also facilitated her access to excellent teaching and learning activities in schools.

“My parents give me motivation and support to complete what I have chosen. And most importantly, my parents helped me a lot in terms of prayers for my success, ” she added.

Hasna advised all students to be consistent with what was targeted at the beginning. Make activity plans and arrange time between school and recreation.
