UNAIR NEWS – So many students are choosing to start a business while they are in school or right after they graduate. It can be realized through Rich Through Entrepreneur (RTE) event held by D3 Marketing Management Study Program, Faculty of Vocational Studies (FV) Universitas Airlangga on Saturday, September 19.

Ivana Nadya Jacynda as the event committee explained that RTE is a student forum for D3 Marketing Management Study Program to gain experience and business knowledge. Moreover, there was a business speaker who graduated from D3 Marketing Management Study Program UNAIR.

“We want to explore and develop your talent in business,” she said.

There were Edwin Fiatiano S.Sos., M.Si. as lecturer for D3 Marketing Management and Qanitta alumnus Nabila Fitri Nadya. A.md as the speaker in this event.

During the event, Qanitta delivered several topics regarding business strategies in the current pandemic era. The owner of Dusty Penny shoe business also shared her experiences when she started a business until now.

She explained that the key for business is always taking advantage of the surroundings, for example, by looking for long-term market segmentation. Thus, the business doesn’t stop when there are obstacles like the current Covid-19 Pandemic.

Ivana conveyed that the activity is aimed at creating great and reliable young people in the business world. “The event creates a great atmosphere for young people to do business,” said Ivana.

The 2018 class student revealed that the idea for the webinar emerged because she was concerned about student future. Especially during the Covid-19 Pandemic, not a few said they were afraid to start a business. “In this way, we encourage the student to do business,”

The activity even received good support from many parties. Among them are Vocational Mart and several D3 Marketing Management alumni who are working in the business world. Thus, students can collaborate and expand their network.

A total of 138 participants attended the event, and enthusiasm of the participants increased. There were products registered in online marketing through D3 Marketing Management social media.

“Only 50 products that we will review, but the enthusiasm of the participants is very high. Even during the event, the participants were very active in asking questions, “she said.

She hopes that the participants can immediately do their business that is being planned. “Hopefully, there will be more young businessmen from our study program,” she concluded. (*)
