UNAIR NEWS – Forbes Indonesia announced the national list of “30 Under 30” featuring influential young leaders and they will be nominated as well in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list. The list included Riliv’s co-founder and CEO, Audrey Maximilian Herli, an alumnus majoring in Information Systems Faculty of Science and Technology UNAIR.

Together with the co-founder of Riliv, Audrey Christopher Herli and Maxi created Surabaya-based start-up company focused on mental health. Riliv is an online meditation and counseling application with psychologists to promote psychological well-being and reduce mental problems.

Being listed in 30 Under 30 Forbes Indonesia and nominated in 30 Under 30 Forbes Asia, it brings significant influence and achievements in the start-up company field. This achievement is inseparable from the hard work and dedication that they put on Riliv.

Mental health is an aspect of human life that deserves more attention. According to statistics, approximately 14 million Indonesians are depressed. For its size, Indonesia has a shortage of mental health practitioners. Another factor is the negative public response toward mental health in general that hinder people from talking openly about it and going to a psychologist, even though they need it.

“We want to inspire people about the importance of mental health and that is our background to establish Riliv,” Maxi said. “We want to help people who can’t express their feelings. By getting recognition from Forbes, it is a big step for us to help broaden community awareness related to the mental health issue,” he added.

As the first online counseling and meditation application in Indonesia, Riliv has more than 150,000 customers. Last year, the application received a special award of 2019 Best Unique Application category from Google Playstore. Besides, Riliv was also awarded an award as Best Sustainable Startup by Koran Tempo in 2017, also the main winner of Google Android Best Impactful Startup #SatuMulai category in 2015.

In addition to receiving various awards, Riliv cooperates with various parties. One of them is Visinema Pictures, the home production film of  Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini (NKCTHI). The online couseling and meditation application, Riliv also collaborated with Universitas Airlangga to increase student awareness about mental health. (*)
