UNAIR NEWS – Ministry of Entrepreneurship in Airlangga University Bidikmisi Organization (AUBMO) Off Main Campus Program (PSDKU) of Universitas Airlangga in Banyuwangi held a “Visit Company”  event on Saturday, May 4, 2019. The activity was carried out by visiting 3 companies in Banyuwangi region.

Jamal Ashari (FPK 2017) as the chief executive said that the purpose of “Visit Company” event was a continuation of Entrepreneurship Seminar held on 30 March.

“This activity aims to create awareness, especially for Bidikmisi students to find out how to be entrepreneur from the companies visited,” he said.

The first activity of KWU Ministry work program went smoothly with 10 participants from Bidikmisi students.

“Started at 07.00 with 3 destinations, PT Putra Ransiky Jaya in Pendarungan Village, then PT Bintang Rajawali Baru, a company in property business in Kalirejo Village, and PT Kabanton in Ketapang Village. This event ended at 17.00, “he added.

For the planned visit in the future, he continued, he would involve companies related to the department related to the students and there will be more participants so they will gain experience through direct interaction with entrepreneurs engaged in the field.

“The event was very exciting and interesting, because the participants motivated to become entrepreneurs by the owner of the company and all the participants really enjoyed each visit. All of them got tips and tricks to become an entrepreneur who is successful and responsible to their employees and gained very useful knowledge which is not obtained from class, “he explained.

He also said that participants were expected to be able to learn directly from entrepreneurs how to be successful and to build awareness that achieving success is not just about theory in class, but also the intention to become entrepreneurs even if they come from poor families.

“It is hope for Bidikmisi students who will later become successful entrepreneurs even though they came from disadvantaged commuity, keep trying and don’t forget to pray. Be a graduate and start your business in any field, whatever it is, as long as it is pursued, it will be successful,” Jamal concluded. (*)
