UNAIR NEWS – Community of Interest and Talent (Komikat) Islamic Spirituality Unit or often called KKI is a forum for Islamic missionary movement among students off Main Campus Program (PSDKU) of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) Banyuwangi. KKI itself is a manifestation of Islamic missionary movement by students who concerned about the condition and existence of Islam on campus.
Interviewed by UNAIR NEWS last week, Adam Fahmi Fiqih as chairman explained, KKI PSDKU in Banyuwangi is a student organization that had just been established in 2019. Functionally, he continued, KKI is an organization for Muslim students who want to hone their religious knowledge, spread happiness, and preach islamic values.
In 2019, KKI PSDKU had several divisions such as Syi’ar Division, Publication Division, Public Relations Division, Cadreation Division, PBA Division (Al-Qur’an Reading Development), and Art & Religious Division.
“KKI is also the organizer of Muslim events on PSDKU Banyuwangi campus as well as the surrounding environment. We also have a goal to spread da’wah in all of accessible places.” explained the student who was familiarly called Adam.
In the beginning of the presentation, Adam also emphasized the activities carried out by KKI PSDKU focused more on the role of students as young people who remained clinging to religious values. Students are young people who can bring positive change to the country.
“Students are also one of the elements in the campus community that plays an important role in the development, renewal, and improvement of human civilization in the future,” he said.
Furthermore, Adam explained, the activities of KKI PSDKU also played an active role as a moral movement based on the universal values of God’s revelation.
“This appeal is in the context of campaigning good deeds or commonly called amar ma’ruf nahi mungkar.” he said.
In the end, Adam emphasized KKI PSDKU expected to be a place for students to control and avoid themselves from promiscuity. For this reason, he also hopes the support from various parties, both internal and external.
“All of that effort was for the implementation of KKI PSDKU’s activities to be success.” concluded the student of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. (*)
