UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga’s Student Representative Council (MPM) has decided Head and Deputy of BEM UNAIR 2019 on Sunday, March 24, 2019. Agung Tri Putra or Agung, a class of 2015 student of Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Sciences (FISIP) will continue leadership of BEM UNAIR along with his representative Maulana Satria Aji or Aji, a 2015 student of Faculty of Public Health will be inaugurated on Tuesday, April 2, 2019.
According to Agung and Aji, BEM UNAIR 2019 will prioritize science, movement and community service in the future. Collaboration is an important thing to do in his cabinet, the champion cabinet.
“Collaboration is an important thing in our cabinet,” said Aji, elected Deputy of BEM UNAIR 2019.
To support UNAIR in achieving 500 WCU, there are several excellent programs offered by Agung and Aji such as a space for collaboration in scientific field, health post in the field of movement. International Service, Bakti Airlangga for Nation and Community Channels in the field of community service.
In the collaboration space, BEM UNAIR 2019 is expected to cooperate with Reasoning UKM, scientific department in all faculties in UNAIR, Garuda Sakti, and other organizations to create an activity that can increase the number of UNAIR student achievements.
While for the health post, Agung and Aji tried to facilitate seven health faculties to collaborate in holding various activities, mainly about studies, government advocacy and other movements in the health sector.
In the field of community service, the international service program is aimed at international students who come to UNAIR for a long time. International students can be invited to visit a village built by BEM UNAIR or a fostered village of one of the faculties in UNAIR.
Bakti Airlangga for the Nation, in the program Agung and Aji planned to make an expedition on Sebesi Island, Lampung. While the Community Channel program is focused on students who do not join committee, internal or external organizations of the university. Students are expected to act as volunteers in communities of Indonesia, especially Surabaya.
“Hopefully BEM UNAIR in the future can become a role model in the field of community service and health,” said Aji.
In line with Aji, Agung hoped that BEM UNAIR can improve the activities of movement, service and knowledge, especially to support UNAIR towards Top 500 WCU.
