UNAIR NEWS – Faculty of Economics (FEB) Student Association of Development Economics (HIMA EP) held an Internal Business and Paper Training(Interest) on Tangible Evidence of Writing Skill. The activity was held on Thursday, March 21, 2019 in Fadjar Notonagoro Hall FEB UNAIR. Interest is divided into two sessions, a seminar on Thursday, March 21, 2019 and a workshop on Friday , March 22, 2019.

Dr. Miguel Angel Esquivias Padilla, IE., M.SE., as Lecturer at FEB UNAIR said that youth is a time for learning. Students must give priority to learning, not anything else.

” It’s time to read articles, subscribe to some channels in Youtube. That way we can open opportunities to see the world, “he said.

In research process, continued Miguel, researchers must be patient, dare to explore and dare to try new things. Researchers must be brave enough to explore new things by opening their eyes to find new opportunities.

Some things to consider are the need for a development process in resources and development. In addition, he also provided motivation through the story of Thomas Alva Edison.

“I quote from Thomas Alva Edison, we need 1 percent of inspriration and 99 percent of hard work,” he explained.

In addition, Angga Erlando, SE, M.Ec.Dev., as the second speaker said that human civilization were seen from writing. Students can start their civilization by writing essays, taking part in competitions, and writing on social media.

“Begin by writing an essay, then compete in a competition, and practice them in mass media,” he added.

Unlike the previous years, millennial era students could access references from various sources. Moreover, UNAIR students have been facilitated by many libraries and supported by wi-fi facilities.

“You can get journals easily and cheaply, even free ones,” he added.

To become a writer, students are expected to read excellent works. By reading, students can get a comparison on the correct word processing.

“Apart from that, it can also be through learning with seniors. Even better, join a writing contest first, “he said. (*)
