UNAIR NEWS – Association of Sharia Economics Studies (AcSES) Universitas Airlangga Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) held an upgrading event titled Sharia Motivation and Achievement Training 1 (SMART 1). The activity was held from Friday (3/15) to Sunday (3/17), at Villa Greenpeace, Pacet, Mojokerto.
Fais as Head of SMART 1 committee said that SMART 1 was a forum for AcSES members to strengthen ties. The two-day activity was packaged in such a way to introduce the AcSES to new members.
“I hope the AcSESsor, (AcSES member, ed) know more about AcSES and the people in it,” he said.
In SMART 1, the committee was able to present Islamic values in each of its activities. It starts with morning activities by establishing tahajjud prayer and dawn prayer together.
“Do not let our busy schedule running work programs, make us neglect our obligations to God,” he added.
Furthermore, Muhammad Ariq Syahputra as AcSES Manager of Human Resources Development Division explained the purpose of SMART 1. According to him, SMART 1 is a regeneration event from the AcSES to foster a love for Islamic economics and AcSES.
“In SMART 1, the AcSESsor will also get material on Islamic economics to expand their knowledge,” added Ariq.
In addition, the application of Islamic values is also applied to playing games organized by the committee. Primarily about the basic introduction of Islamic economics. Games adventure for example, to win it, the members must pass four posts with various challenges.
“There are four posts. In each post, we use basic material on Islamic economy, “he added.
Hasbi Ash Shidiq as Director of AcSES expressed his hope to the participants that they will continually strengthen spirit to develop Islamic economy. Campus da’wah must continue to be conducted in FEB environment.
“Hopefully in the future, the AcSESsor can stimulate the participants to develop better. So that participants are able to contribute greatly in building a prosperous and just society that is blessed by Allah SWT, “he concluded. (*)
