UNAIR NEWS – Faculty of Dental Medicine (FKG) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) held the launching of Digital Academic Multiapps (DAM) for the first time on Monday, December 17 in the Meeting Room of FKG Dean. DAM is a network-based software developed by FKG information system innovation unit team in the form of a collection of digital academic applications.
DAM consists of four features, Advanced Environmental Gates of Information(AEGIS), Extended Algorithm E-mail System (Enamail System), Online Professional Education Study Plan Cards (KRS), and Online Professional Education Academic Information Systems (SIAKAD).
Gilang Rasuna Sabdho Wening drg., M.Kes. or known as Doctor Gilang, the team leader of the FKG information system innovation unit, explained that AEGIS stores and more detailed, complete, and comprehensive data. At the same time, reducing the risk of losing data.
“In the past, when we were asked about the data and database, we were confused asking and searching here and there. For this reason, AEGIS can act as a shield when data is lost or if it’s hacked, “ explained doctor Gilang.
AEGIS can store data neatly and safe, it can also bring alumni closer to the faculty through feature of diplomas authentication online.
“By next year the authentication feature can be done with a condition, FKG alumni must register in advance so they can log into AEGIS,” said doctor Gilang.
Moreover, DAM also has an enamail system feature. In this feature, FKG UNAIR can reply to thousands of messages from alumni or other academics just by pressing one button.
The third feature is SIAKAD. In SIAKAD, lecturers can provide grades to students real-time, fast, and free of manipulation. In addition, in SIAKAD there are clearer standards related to assessment.
There is also online professional education KRS. Going forward, the online professional education KRS can be used from February 2019 when the new semester begins.
“After launching today, DAM can be used immediately. In addition, training will also be held for educators in all departments in FKG, “concluded doctor Gilang. (*)
