UNAIR NEWS – The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPK) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) supports and facilitates all students selected to join the Freedom of Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) program. The faculty provides a credit conversion system and MBKM assistance so that the students do not have to worry about being left behind or unable to fulfill the credits in the semester when participating in MBKM.

As the Head of the Aquaculture Study Program, Putri Desi Wulan Sari, S.Pi., M.Si., said that FPK UNAIR has commenced an internship program to implement the MBKM program. The faculty works closely with several stakeholders to realize the participation of their students. She also added that the stakeholders come from universities and practitioners who have collaborated with FPK UNAIR.

“One of the MBKM programs offered by the faculty for the students is the internship collaborated with industrial partners. The internship is carried out either through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology programs or FPK in collaboration with stakeholders,” she explained.

“In addition, several programs such as teaching campuses, young fighters, student exchanges, and research-based independent studies also involve some universities and practitioners who have collaborated with FPK,” she added.

To provide both information and assistance, the faculty cooperates with the Student Executive Board (BEM) of FPK. Through BEM FPK, hopefully, all information related to the MBKM program can be understood and accessed easily by students. In addition, information can also be obtained from the Student Administration.

Desi also said that the faculty regularly evaluates the MBKM program. One of the evaluations is site visits to observe students who are participating in the program directly.

“Evaluation of the implementation process related to student activities carried out with partners includes site visits, curriculum synergy exploration, and monitoring evaluations by involving related institutions and partners,” she explained. (*)
