UNAIR NEWS – The ‘Daewoong Social Impactor’ program started this year is a student ambassador program designed by Daewoong Indonesia to provide accurate health information to Indonesian citizens through content creation on social media. Daewoong Indonesia has collaborated with 15 selected students to produce digital content that conveys health information through social media.

With the Universitas Airlangga Student Executive Board (BEM UNAIR), the Daewoong Social Impactor program has provided an opportunity for UNAIR students interested in joining the program. Fifteen selected students learned about the healthcare industry. For example, through special lectures by expert content creators and mentoring sessions with Daewoong employees.

The program closing ceremony was held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. One of the participants from UNAIR who managed to qualify was Maulana Hanif Ibrahim from the Faculty of Medicine (FK). Hanif confirmed that he was the only representative from UNAIR from 15 selected students in the ‘Daewoong Social Impactor’ program.

“There are hundreds of students from various well-known universities, but I was the only student from UNAIR who managed to pass,” he said.

On his way to becoming a company ambassador, Hanif and 14 other students got almost six months to complete the challenge to provide positive things education about health through social media. “During those six months, we managed to make 60 videos on YouTube and 120 content on Instagram to educate the Indonesian people with accurate information about diseases and their prevention,” said Hanif.

“Furthermore, our videos get 290,000 total views on Youtube,” he continued.

As an appreciation from the Daewoong Social Impactor program, Hanif had received many prizes, “Through this Daewoong Social Impactor program, I received a scholarship for education money, a kit for creating content, and a toga for the closing ceremony procession, as well as a certificate,” said Hanif.

Hopefully, besides Hanif, there will be more UNAIR students who excel and create other educational works that do not only motivate others but also lead to positive impacts.
