Champion of Fahmil Quran in National MTQM Named Outstanding Graduate

UNAIR NEWS – Fatayati Fajrin, an alumni of Universitas Airlangga Psychology Program never through that she would be named as an outstanding graduate in March 2019 graduation period. During college, Fajrin was known to participate in several competitions. One of the competitions she took part was 2017 National Level Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran.

At that time, before being elected as a national delegation, Fajrin had to take part in MTQM selection at university level. She won first place. Intensive coaching continues for 3-4 months for selection in the East Java region.

“In this region the team and I only won 4th Place. After the regional competition was over, one of the coaches encouraged and supported me to move forward to the national level,” said Fajrin.

“At that time, I thought that being able to be chosen as a delegate in the national was not easy. However, thanks to my coach’s motibation, I was encouraged to continue learning and prepare myself for national delegation selection, ” she added.

After going through various stages of intensive coaching, finally Fajrin’s name was chosen to be in National Student MTQ team in 2017 and won 3rd place in the Fahmil Quran category.

After completing her study, the girl who received the scholarship from Ministry of Religious Affairs, Santri Achievement Scholarship Program (PBSB) was planned to devote herself to pesantren or Islamic boarding school to learn and share knowledge.

“The service I must go through is three years. It is quite time consuming, but this is a mandate that should not be abandoned, “he said.

In the future, Fajrin aspires to continue his psychology professorship in the fields of development and education. She wants to gain more knowledge theoretically and practically about problems in human development. At the same time, she hoped she could help others by establishing a psychology bureau in her hometown.

“In my opinion, there are lots of activities, opportunities, and opportunities at college to develop themselves. First, find out activities that are in accordance with your abilities and passion, hone your skills, and develop them. Don’t forget to get along with people who make you and force you to grow, “Fajrin said. (*)
