UNAIR NEWS – The Freedom of Learning – Independent Campus (MBKM) Program launched by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology has been received well by several universities, including Universitas Airlangga.

During the press conference on October 15, UNAIR Rector Prof. Moh Nasih, in front of the press, explained that related to MBKM, there were nine activities that students could participate in as part of the implementation of MBKM.

“UNAIR has been implementing several things related to MBKM. In the past, if there were students who won certain fields, we converted them as credits. Students who take part in conferences or student exchanges do not need KKN anymore. This is actually part of the implementation of MBKM,” said Prof. Nasih.

Likewise, continued Prof. Nasih, internships and industrial practices. In this regard, UNAIR is very supportive. His party has deployed hundreds of students to do industrial internships.

“Yesterday, we communicated with the Minister of SOEs so that in the future, we can support more with massive industrial internship programs,” he said.

Furthermore, students taking part in lecturers’ research and student entrepreneurs are also included in certain UNAIR credits. Even inter-disciplinary learning and knowledge groups have been applied since the first semester.

“It means that we have fully supported everything with the best facilities,” he explained.

Prof. Nasih concluded that these things are proofs that UNAIR has carried out MBKM and possible as assessment indicators from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology show that UNAIR has exceeded the assessment limit.

“UNAIR achieved 74 achievement points, with 673 growth points, with a high position of 10%, and this is from the PTN-BH group, UNAIR is at the first rank,” concluded Prof. Nasih.
