DPPKA UNAIR: Everyone has rights to dream and work

UNAIR NEWS – Directorate of Career Development, Incubation, Entrepreneurship, and Alumni Affairs (DPKKA) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) once again held a webinar entitled “Full mothers, professional workers: Everyone Has Right to Dream and Work”. On this occasion, Maria Kristi Endah Murni, S.H., M.H., Director of Air Transportation, Director General of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation who is also an alumni of FH UNAIR attended as a speaker for the activity.

At the beginning of the activity, Ms. Kristi explained the duties and responsibilities she currently carries in Ministry of Transportation. She also explained the existence of a gender equality program, especially equality in career paths regardless of gender.

Furthermore, when she was asked about the choice of work and household, the woman who was born in Yogyakarta believes that the best choice is every choice made with full responsibility. She also believes that each generation has its own way of dealing with the challenges of its time.

The alumni of Faculty of Law (FH) UNAIR admitted that communication with family is very important. “When I was given the mandate by the minister, I asked for a week to discuss with my family about the position and mandate,” she said.

She admits that support from her family is one of the main factors for the success she is currently achieving. Even though she has to be responsible at home and also at work, she advised to remain responsible and not give up on any choices made.

In the webinar which was also broadcast on DPKKA UNAIR’s YouTube channel, Ms. Kristi gave a statement that being dedicated to every choice she made was something that should not be forgotten. “When we have chosen to work, dedicated and sincere, gusti mboten sare , God never sleeps,” she said.
