UNAIR NEWS – Alumni Association (IKA) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH) Commissariat has held a member meeting for the selection of new management for 2021-2025 on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. The activities carried out online through Zoom video conference application.
Based on the consensus achieved at the meeting, Drh. Desianto Utomo, Ph.D (Desianto) was elected as the General Chairman of IKA UNAIR FKH Commissariat for the period 2021-2025. The election of Desianto replaces Prof. Dr. Pudji Srianto, drh., M.Kes (Prof. Pudji) as the General Chairman of the IKA UNAIR FKH commissariat for 2015-2020 period.
“Based on the meeting carried out, our new chairman was elected, drh. Desianto Utomo, Ph.D, “explained Prof. Pudji.
Apart from the chairman, the secretary general or also known as executive chairman, Dr. Iwan Syahrial Hamid, drh., M.Si was elected and his deputy is Drh. Viki Mustofa.
Elected as chairman, Desianto revealed that being elected is a tough mandate as he is held accountable not only in this world but also in the afterlife. Even so, Desianto will consider this journey as a form of worship.
In addition, Desianto felt that he had been raised by the alma mater. According to him, the alma mater has made himself from nobody to somebody. By carrying out this mandate, Desianto wanted to repay the kindness that the alma mater had given him. “Let’s move forward together, for the common interest, for the sake of our beloved alma mater,” he concluded.
Previously, to become chairman of IKA UNAIR FKH commissariat, there were various requirements that must be met by prospective chairmen. Among them, is being a bachelor or professional program graduates from FKH UNAIR, at least 35 years old, Indonesian citizen, and live in the Republic of Indonesia.
In addition, the candidate for chairman must be in good health, mentally and physically, has never been indicted, is loyal to Pancasila as the foundation of the state, the 1945 Constitution and the ideals of the proclamation of August 17, 1945. The candidate for chairman must also have organizational experience; have a strong, honest, and fair personal integrity; as well as having a strong commitment to advancing IKA FKH UA and the alma mater.
