Through AGE event, Chulalongkorn University Offers Scholarships to UNAIR Students

UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) has been active opening opportunities to students to participate in various academic programs abroad. Through the info session initiated by Airlangga Global Engagement (AGE), Chulalongkorn University, Thailand offered information on studies and scholarships to UNAIR students.

The event was held on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 in Kahuripan Room 300, 3rd Floor, UNAIR Management Office focused on information about the scholarship offered by one of the national research universities in Thailand. “Our main aim at UNAIR is to establish international cooperation and provide information to students about the academic program at Chulalongkorn University, especially in the Faculty of Science,” said Associate Professor Sehanat Prasongsuk, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Science at Chulalongkorn University.

“We know that UNAIR is one of the best universities in Indonesia, with students who have extraordinary abilities. Previously we had a long collaboration with several professors at UNAIR, “said. Ass. Professor Sehanat Prasongsuk.

As one of the best universities in Thailand, Chulalongkorn University is ranked 247th in the world according to the QS World Ranking. Chulalongkorn University is also the number one best university in Thailand based on the World University Ranking Center, Round University Ranking . Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) UNAIR has been cooperating with Chulalongkorn University for extended period of time.

International students who wish to apply for scholarships to Chulalongkorn University must meet certain conditions depending on the scholarship program being applied for. Some of them are a minimum TOEFL score of 500, self-development activities, GPA requirements, and so forth.

“The requirements for applying for a scholarship to Chulalongkorn University vary depending on what scholarship is applied for. For a one-semester scholarship program, students only need to complete all documents and there are no requirements on English language scores, “he added.

In the end, Ass. Professor Sehanat Prasongsuk looked forward to more UNAIR students studying at Chulalongkorn University. “We are looking forward to more students studying at Chulalongkorn University. Some UNAIR students who have studied there are highly qualified, “he said.
