Constructive ideas presented by Kadep and KPS in 2020 Leadership Meeting

UNAIR NEWS – Dozens of Universitas Airlangga program coordinators (KPS) and head of departments (Kadep) gave their ideas for the progress of departments and programs they lead. Their ideas were conveyed during the Work Meeting of Kadep and KPS, at Illira Hotel, Banyuwangi, Wednesday, January 15, 2020.

Those constructive ideas were conveyed in a session led by UNAIR Rector Prof. Moh. Nasih. The ideas are related to the implementation of online-based education and the development of pilot projects being run by each department and program.

In presenting the idea of organizing online-based education, Head of International Relations FISIP M. Muttaqien, Ph.D expressed his ideas about the use of e-learning for cyber campus and expanded the use of audiovisual media for student learning.

Meanwhile, Titik Puji Rahayu, Ph.D, Head of Communications Department expressed her wish so that the campus facilitate the ideas of students put on film so many parties from all over the world can understand well.

Titik also hoped that the campus can facilitate students with the best films that they have created so that they can participate in film competitions, both at national and international levels.

Ideas from the Department of Economics was inspired by learning methods on the Ruang Guru’s platform. Meanwhile, the Department of Educational Psychology provides the idea of organizing psychological education through online lectures and Psychology Hybrid Education.

From Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), Purkan from Department of Chemistry gave an idea on methods to produce fertilizers suitable for the peat environment.

Meanwhile, from Faculty of Medicine, the ideas conveyed were about online learning so lecturers and instructors can master the latest technology. After that, new complementary learning technology for students will be developed.

He also conveyed his ideas about developing an evidence base learning model because one of the media for teaching medical students is using patients as a learning media.

Meanwhile, the Head of Anesthesiology and Reanimation had the idea to conduct a remote monitor of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations. He also gave his ideas related to water purification methods in areas affected by natural disasters.

After the ideas presentation, Rector and the leaderships give awards to the department with excellent achievements. The awards were given from many aspects, including most Scopus scientific journals, international accreditation, and student body. (*)
