UNAIR NEWS – After its opening since December 2, 2019, Institution of University Entrance Exams (LTMPT) account registration was scheduled to be closed on January 7, 2020, however the registration window is extended because lots of schools and students have not yet made their data permanent.

Head of 2020 LTMPT Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, SE., MT, Ak., CMA in a press conference on Tuesday January 7, 2020 said that since it was opened on December 2, 2019, the registration process went quite normal. Day to day, there were a significant number of registrants.

Regarding the extension of LTMPT registration account, Prof. Nasih said that out of tens of thousands of senior high schools in Indonesia, there were already quite large registrations.

From the data he had, as of Tuesday, January 7 at 15:25, the number of schools that have registered accounts reached 22,294 schools. From that number, there were 21,296 schools that have activated accounts, and 11,816 schools made their data permanent.

“From the students, there were 1,271,753 account registrations. of that number, there were 1,203,906 active student accounts, and 901,275 students have made their data permanent, “said Prof. Nasih.

While from the provincial side, there were several provinces with most registrants. The highest was Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY). Out of total 441 schools, 382 schools have registered and 369 accounts have been active, and 194 schools have verified their data.

Prof. Nasih continued, the second highest province was Gorontalo. Out of 166 schools, 140 schools have registered, 135 schools have active accounts, and 52 schools have permanent accounts. The third highest province was West Sumatra, then followed by Aceh and Bangka Belitung.

“The province with the least registration was North Maluku. Out of 427 schools, 151 schools have registered, and only 82 schools have permanent data, “said Prof. Nasih, UNAIR Rector.

Prof. Nasih emphasized that the process of data verification must be done immediately. Seeing the number of schools and students who have not made the data permanent, LTMPT gave time extension for account registration.

“The registration was supposed to be closed today on January 7, 2020 at 23:59, but it will be extended until January 9, 2020 at 17:00,” said Prof. Nasih.

The extension is not for the new registrants, but for those who have already done the registration process with an active account, so they can verify the data immediately. It applies to both students and schools.

“We hope that schools and students can take advantage of this opportunity. Not making the data permanent will bring unexpected result for students and schools,” said the professor of Faculty of Economics and Business UNAIR.

Prof. Nasih as the Head of 2020 LTMPT expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the schools that have registered and verified the data long before the account registration was closed. (*)
