UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) as one of the best universities in Indonesia, continues to spread its wings internationally. UNAIR collaborated with Sustainable Premium Education Consultancy Services (SPECS), to strengthen UNAIR’s academic reputation achievements at the international level.

Located at Plenary Meeting Room of Campus C Building of UNAIR, the collaboration was marked by the signing of the MoU between UNAIR and SPECS on Tuesday, December 03. UNAIR was represented by UNAIR Rector, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, SE., MT., Ak., CMA. while SPECS was represented by SPECS Deputy Chief Executive Prof. Mohammed Saeed.

UNAIR NEWS successfully interviewed Prof. Dr. Ni Nyoman Tri Puspaningsih as Executive Director of Airlangga Global Engagement (AGE) on Friday, December 6. According to him, this was not the first time SPECS visited UNAIR.

“SPECS first came to UNAIR on the third week of July. So this is not the first, “he added.

SPECS is one of the consultancy institutions related to the strategy of increasing the achievement of internationalization from a university. SPECS helps to develop UNAIR’s potential and database to the global scale.

Prof. Nyoman said SPECS helped UNAIR to conduct a gap analysis of UNAIR’s internationalization achievements. SPECS provided directions, consultations, strategies and some recommendations to UNAIR to support its institution.

“Then we signed a collaboration with SPECS to strengthen the achievements of UNAIR’s academic reputation,” he added.

Prof. Nyoman revealed that three essential things became the aim of UNAIR and SPECS collaboration. In addition to strengthening the achievements of the academic reputation, this collaboration aims to enhance the progress of research and citation cooperation with partners abroad.

“So if we strengthen research collaboration, the impact will certainly increase international publications which will ultimately increase citation,” he explained.

The achievements of UNAIR’s internationalization cannot be separated from the strength that has been established in the quality of education. UNAIR has started with the right step, and it can be seen from the quality of internationally accredited UNAIR education that has improved sharply.

“All that SPECS has left is to provide consultation, direction, strategy, and inputs for UNAIR, because as an external consultant, reading our data will be more detailed,” he explained. (*)
