ABC Invites MI Students in Bojonegoro to Preserve Environment

UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) students who are members of Airlangga Bojonegoro Community (ABC) held community service as one of the manifestations of Higher Education Tri Dharma. Teaching and Serving 1.0 program held in Ngambon District, Bojonegoro Regency on Saturday, November 2.

ABC Student held Teaching and Serving 1.0 targeted high school student and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Islamiyah Kacangan chosen to be the place in carrying out the event. ABC Teaching and Serving 1.0 is followed by UNAIR students who are members of ABC from 2017, 2018, and 2019.

Bintang Kumalawati as Head of the Event said that ABC Teaching and Serving 1.0 activity is an annual agenda before Final Semester Examination (UAS).

“This event is a work program of the community service department held in ABC school from year to year, and one of the work programs goals is implementing ABC jargon, which is friendly, useful, respectful,” she said.

The theme was ‘Preserving the Environment for the Future Generation’ and the series of Teaching and Serving 1.0 events began with flower planting.

“The event began with flowers planting activity by all classes from grade one to grade six. Moreover, but we also played several games and provide protecting environmental material for the sixth-grade student, “said D3 Tourism Vocational School student.

Bintang said the enthusiasm of students were great, and it was proven that student always excited for this event every year.

“All school members were interested in following our teachings and direction,” she said.

After the implementation of ABC Teaching and Serving 1.0, the event is expected to have a significant impact on MI Islamiyah Kacangan students. Thus, they will preserve, respect, and protect the environment, whether at school or at home.
