UNAIR NEWS – In line with the vision of President Joko Widodo regarding to advanced human capital, Nutrifood held 2019 Nutrifood Leadership Award. The event aims to produce young leaders.
Evangelina Tessia Pricilla, a Biomedical Engineering student was one of 22 finalists selected from semifinalists in four major cities in Indonesia (Jakarta, Bandung, Jogja, Surabaya) after previously passed administrative selection from thousands of registrants. The theme event which was held on Tuesday, October 15-17 in Jakarta is “Leader Creates Leaders”
“There was a quarantine period, which is carried out for three days. During the event, the participants met nine prominent leaders, Mr. Mardi Wu as CEO of Nutrifood, Ms. Najeela Shihab as the founder of Semua Murid Semua Guru and others, ” she said.
Tessia added that to be a good leader, the thing that should be prioritized is collaboration. It will help them to meet their individual needs based on mutually beneficial voluntary exchanges.
“The participants are also encouraged to build start-ups or social projects that will give positive impact to the wider community,” she said.
All finalists in Nutrifood Leadership Award can exchange ideas directly with inspirational figures in Indonesia, and it was one of the exciting experiences for Tessia. They shared their experiences and activities and gave several tips for the participant.
“I can feel the family atmosphere during this event,” she said.
Tessia felt the warm welcome and strong bonding between participants for only a short time. She said one of the important things is finding a bigger network with outstanding students from various universities in Indonesia. (*)
