UNAIR NEWS – Commemorating its 58th Anniversary, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) embraces alumni in the event titled Grand Reunion and FEB UNAIR Awards 2019. The event was held at The Square Ballroom ICBC 3rd floor, August 24, 2019 and attended by deans, lecturers, staff, and international students.
The event opened with Gandrung dance from Dance and Karawitan Student Activity Unit (UKM). The Dean of FEB UNAIR Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE, M.Si., Ak. opened the event.
In his remarks, Prof. Dian revealed that the Anniversary is a momentum to strengthen the synergy between alumni and students. It was also to welcome the international accreditation that would be carried out by FEB, thereby improving FEB’s reputation at the international arena.
“Next month, FEB is getting an international accreditation. Alumni are one of the stakeholders who can have a big influence on the development of FEB in the future, especially at the international arena, “said Prof. Dian.
Furthermore, one of the international students who attended lectures at FEB revealed that the teaching and learning climate at UNAIR and FEB was very good. Because the people and students are very friendly to international students.
“The people and all students are very friendly, so really no problem with the people, ” said Kabiru Hannafi Ibrahim, a PhD student from Nigeria.
Rizky Supriadi, S.E., Ak., MBA as the chief executive said that the aim of the 2019 Reunion Akbar and FEB UNAIR Awards is to attract alumni to get back to campus. Furthermore, it also gave an appreciation for outstanding alumni who had an influence on the development of various sectors in Indonesia.
“This activity aims to attract alumni and awarding FEB UNAIR alumni and stakeholders who have given a positive impact in Indonesia,” he concluded. (*)
