Komikat Badminton PSDKU Wants to Win More Competition

UNAIRNEWS – “We want Komikat Badminton of PSDKU to get more scores under the name of UNAIR.” That was Wilda Gusfiyanti Aziz’s hope, Head of Badminton PSDKU (Off Main Campus Study Program) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) Banyuwangi to UNAIR NEWS last month. The girl from Pemalang was athletes from high school and joined the organization  (Badminton, ed) to refine her talents in Komikat Badminton PSKDU.

This  year, Komikat Badminton of PSDKU UNAIR Banyuwangi will help its members to be more trained in Badminton. Through Komikat, which was founded in 2015. The organization also facilitates 50 students who joined Komikat to the competition stage.

“Every routine training, several students will be trainer and we also ask for help to professional trainers,” explained the student who familiarly called Wilda.

During routine training, Komikat PSDKU Badminton members held training every Thursday night and Friday night at Sports Hall (GOR) of Sobo PSDKU UNAIR Banyuwangi Campus. In addition to routine training, members of Komikat Badminton PSDKU also compete or joint training with Badminton organizations outside PSDKU UNAIR Banyuwangi.

“This was also an event to transfer knowledge about other badminton player’s technics. There were professionals in the field of badminton, especially in southern region of Banyuwangi.” she added.

According to her, that was the reason for the girl who are studying in fourth semester of Accounting. Hopefully, Komikat Badminton can be a place for student to be active in the field of sport, especially badminton.

“Thank you, I hope everyone can maximize the facility that provided by university” she said.
