UNAIR NEWS – This December, apparently, was a special time for Fauziah Mukti Sugiharto. The bachelor’s graduate of Faculty Public Health appointed as best graduate. She also shared a bit behind that brilliant achievement.

Her thesis entitled Relationship between Mental Workload and Social Support of Colleagues and Superiors with Job Stress in aircraft maintenance workforce at PT. X managed to carve out a satisfactory GPA score, 3.77.

Beside focusing on her studies, Fauziah was also active in student organizations such as being committee from various activities from the first semester to the sixth semester.

“Within the six semesters, I joined about nine committees, starting from faculty to national activity committees. Besides, I also joined entrepreneurial activities, but it didn’t last long. Only from the third semester to the end of fifth semester. Then, in semester VII and VIII, I focused on lecture activities, work internships, and thesis only, “explained the woman from Sidoarjo.

Despite being preoccupied with various kinds of activities, Fauziah felt very proud because, she was able to balance lecture activities and non-academic activities without making the GPA go down.

“In fact, in semester V I had quite a lot of activities besides lectures and my semester’s GPA was almost perfect, which was 3.95,” she added.

During her four years of college, Fauziah acknowledged that there were no major obstacles. Once, she fell really ill and her studies a little disturbed. She even had an accident when taking data to complete her thesis. She had to take a rest for about a week.

After completing her undergraduate study, Fauziah plans to focus on working and career. However, she did close the possibility to continue study if there is  opportunity.

Fauziah shared tips for her juniors. “College and study are the main ones, but don’t focus too much on lecture activities. Explore other things that can give more insight and experience during college. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes, don’t be afraid to be criticized, don’t be afraid to try new things, ” she said. (*)
