UNAIR NEWS – The Student Regiment (Menwa) Student Activity Unit (UKM) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) has made another achievement in a national championship. This time, UKM Menwa won first place in the essay category at Jalaka Paragri IV championship at Secaba Rindam V Brawijaya and the Rembangan Jember, July 12-14, 2019.

In the championship, UKM Menwa delegated three people and two officials. They were Imam Fatoni and Bagus Hadi L. students of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) and Tirta Muhammad Rizki, student of Faculty of Nursing (FKp). All three followed three categories contested, including agility, cross-country competitions, and essays.

Imam Fatoni, the commander of Headquarters Group and Head of UNAIR Delegation of Jalaka Paragri Menwa, revealed that there was an intensive preparation by members to take part in the championship. One of them is a physical training to improve the physicality of the members.

“Every evening the delegates conduct intensive activities by running in UNAIR C campus area to improve the physicality of members for the race,” said Fatoni.

With an essay titled Integrated Unit Administration Application essay (AMINSADU), Imam Fatoni revealed that it was aimed at improving the quality of Menwa members’ resources in the face of the 4.0 industrial revolution because it minimized errors in the administration of Student Regiment organization.

“Facing this industrial revolution 4.0 where all activities are computer-based, hopefully with AMINSADU, it can improve the quality of Student Regiment resources, because errors in member administration records can be reduced,” Fatoni added.
