UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) held sending off ceremony for 2019 Election Workshops (KKN) on Monday, April 08 at Amerta Hall of Management Office of Campus C UNAIR. The event was attended by Head of Community Development and Community Development Agency (LPPM) UNAIR Dr. Eko Supeno, Drs., M.Si.
In his speech, Eko said Thematic KKN 2019 Election was the first Election KKN held in Indonesia, especially in East Java region.
Eko revealed 2019 UNAIR Election KKN Thematic was held in a five-year period. There were 106 participants students.
Attended by ten faculties who participated in the KKN. Namely, Faculty of Law (FH), Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Faculty of Pharmacy (FF), Faculty of Humanities (FIB), Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Faculty of Dental Medicine (FKG), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH ), Faculty of Public Health (FKM), Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs (FPK) and Faculty of Psychology (FPsi). In addition, there were 31 male and 75 female students.
UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih SE., M.T., Ak., CMA. said students should remain objective during election process. According to him, students are an educated group should not pick a side.
“Hopefully, the quality of this election can be more accountable,” said Prof. Nasih in front of 106 students.
Prof. Nasih also said, through the Election KKN, students should be able to get a reference to discuss when a problem occurred.
Thematic KKN 2019 Election held by UNAIR was the first Election KKN in Indonesia. It will be held on April 15 – May 3. A total of 106 students of KKN will be dispatched in all areas in Surabaya at KPU East Java. While in PTS, they will guard the election activity. (*)
