UNAIR Students from Kediri Train Local Students to Get Ready for SBMPTN

UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga students who are members of Airlangga Kediri Student Association (AMASAKI) have successfully held SBMPTN Simulation on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019 at SMA N 1 Kediri. The event, SUPERIOR 2019, involved students from high school / vocational high school from Kediri and the surrounding areas. The activity is expected to improve the preparation of prospective participants in facing the 2019 SBMPTN.

Head of AMASAKI, Sigit Aditama expressed high enthusiasm was seen from the number of participants who registered. The number of participants exceeded the committee’s target which was initially estimated only 379 participants. In the event, the committee did not only provide training on SBMPTN test, but there was also a discussion on programs in UNAIR which the prospective students interested in.

In SUPERIOR 2019, the highest score from science and technology category in the mock up test was achieved by Lafibra Devaranty from SMA Negeri 2 Kediri; Wided Sekar Putri R from SMAN 2 Kediri; and Rendy Asmaradhana S from SMAN 2 Pare, while the highest score in social and humanities category was achieved by Tarisya Maharani from SMA 2 Pare; Edwin from SMA 1 Kediri; and Satrio Priyagung W from SMAN 1 Kediri.

Sigit also said that the implementation of the event was initiated by Kediri students who study in UNAIR. This shows that regional UNAIR students have enthusiasm to develop their respective regions.

“Alhamdulillah SUPERIOR 2019 reaps success. Because the target of holding this event has been achieved, which is to give the high school students the opportunity to practice and increase their confidence to continue studies further, especially in UNAIR, “he explained.

Sigit hoped that such event can be held frequently, to promote any innovations so students are interested in continuing their education.

“In the future AMASAKI will hold an AFC (AMASAKI FUTSAL CUP) event at UNIK GOR on Jan. 26-27, 2019. The event will be held in Kediri for East Java students,” Sigit said.

“In addition to accommodating students in terms of sports interests and talents, the activity was intended as a media to promote UNAIR, to encourage students to continue their education to higher education,” he added. (*)
