UNAIR signs MoU with Director General of Agro-Industry Ministry of Industry

UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga and Director of Food, Marine Products, Fisheries Industry, and Agro Industry of Ministry of Industry, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, in Kahuripan Room 301. The MoU covers points regarding the Machine Equipment Assistance for Chitin, Chitosan, and Glucosamine.

The cooperation agreement was signed by the Vice Rector for Resources, Dr. Muhammad Madyan, S.E., M.Si., M.Fin, and the Director of Food, Marine Products, and Fisheries Industry as well as Agro Industry, Ministry of Industry, Ir Supriadi, M.Si.

In addition, the signing of the MoU was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UNAIR, Prof. Junaidi Khotib S.Si, Apt., M.Kes., Ph.D.; Head of Partnerships and Development Management Board (BKMP), Dr. Eko Supeno drs., M.Si.; and other guests.

Prior to signing the MoU, equipment assistance from the Ministry of Industry had already been received and could be used in UNAIR Capsule Shell Teaching Industry. Madyan revealed that campuses are directed to have innovations for challenges in society in the future.

“We hope that in the future, UNAIR and other campuses can create new products as a result of innovation on campus. This will increase the participation of universities in improving quality products,” said Madyan.

In developed countries, said Madyan, campuses have a significant role in innovating and creating useful products in society. Therefore, he encouraged UNAIR and other campuses to produce these innovations.

Prior to the signing of the MoU, a team from the Directorate of Food, Marine Products, and Fisheries Industry and Directorate General of Agro Industry, Ministry of Industry, reviewed the location of the Capsule and Glucosamine Teaching Industry in Campus C UNAIR. Madyan hoped that the cooperation between UNAIR and the Ministry of Industry could be maintained.

“We hope that this collaboration will go well not only with products or tools but also with new innovations produced by UNAIR. Indeed, we are committed to producing the latest innovations for industrial progress in Indonesia,” said the lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR. (*)
