UNAIR NEWS – Nine study programs of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) are ready to undergo the FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) accreditation process. It is done to improve the quality of education management and strengthen UNAIR’s recognition in the international arena.
Being held offline and online on Wednesday (28/3/2022), the FIBAA accreditation process was opened with a visitation to four study programs within the Faculty of Humanities. They are English Language and Literature, Indonesian Language and Literature, History and Japanese Studies study programs. Furthermore, the visitation process will be continued in the study programs of International Relations, State Administration, Information and Library Science, Communication Studies, and Masters in Law.
Regarding the FIBAA accreditation process, Head of the Quality Assurance Board (BPM) Prof. Nurul Barizah SH., LLM PhD, said that this step was an important part of improving the quality of education. According to her, international accreditation is conducted to improve the standard of education at UNAIR.
“Moreover, FIBAA is an accreditation institution based in Europe and internationally oriented for quality assurance and development in higher education,” she said.
Interviewed in her office, the FH UNAIR Professor also explained that with the FIBAA international accreditation, the quality of education is expected to be better. Moreover, she continued, with good quality education, the quality of UNAIR graduates will be better as well.
“Therefore, we ask for prayers and support so that the accreditation process can run smoothly and all study programs that undergo visitation can produce satisfactory results,” she said. “God willing, the results of this visit will be out within the next two to three months,” she continued.
In the end, Prof. Nurul also said that in 2022, there will be FIBAA accreditation process for 13 study programs within the Faculty of Economics and Business. As planned, the 13 study programs will undergo a visitation process from May to June.
“Please pray that everything will go well. Because the more study programs are internationally accredited, the better the quality of education of our campus,” she concluded.
