UNAIR NEWS- Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) Communication Studies’ student Shafa Annisa Rahmasari managed to win First Place in the Powerful Young Generation National Electricity Company (POWERGEN PLN) content creating competition. The achievement cannot be separated from her persistence in creating quality content.

Two contents submitted for the judging round made her a champion in the competition that lasted until Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Shafa has also made a unique jingle for PLN in her video content. “If it intersects with singing and music, I enjoy doing it, and on the other hand, PLN Mobile also does not have a particular jingle,” she mentioned.

The student who has a hobby in music confessed that she had a plan and visualization before creating content. “While looking for references for the video and the rhythm of the song, I started writing lyrics. I already have lyrics for a full song during the coaching session, and there are some revisions from the PLN party,” she revealed.

Through training and revision from PLN, the Madiun native continued lyric writing, rhythms, and the jingle arrangement phase with the help of her friend. Shafa also ensured that her idea could be realized with the help of her videographer friends.

Not only singing, but the student from class 2020 also asked some help from some dancers in her city to produce an attractive art execution. “To add an energetic impression, I did not only add lipsync. Because I do not have dancing basics, I decided to ask for Madiun dancers,” she explained.

Created in the middle of exam weeks, Shafa must adjust the availability of the dancers and videographers for the shooting. Furthermore, one shoot video-production technique she used was quite a challenge for Shafa.

“Both my works used one shoot technique which every video aspect must be good enough. We also have to adjust the layout setting and lighting that change. The condition required us to shoot for 4-5 times,” she revealed.

Although going through a complicated process, Shafa admitted that she is satisfied with the works she made with her best efforts. “The principle that I uphold is just do your best. Whatever the result will be, at least I have tried my best. Even if I did not win, being able to do those works is one achievement to me,” she uttered. (*)
