UNAIR NEWS – New Year creates a new spirit. Astandi Dinoryan made another brilliant achievement in the national arena. Astandi won first place in the National Essay Competition of the Indonesian Sharia Fintech Association (AFSI). He bested 74 other participants from 35 universities in Indonesia in early January.
In his essay, Astandi initiated the idea of an application called EVERYTECH (Economic Recovery by Shariah Fintech). He explained that EVERYTECH is an alternative solution to economic problems that will optimize sharia financial technology (fintech).
“Currently, cases of fraud and illegal online loans are very rampant. Therefore, I made this program as a solution to these problems,” he explained.
EVERYTECH will integrate several institutions, such as OJK and sharia fintech. The integration will improve regulation and supervision of customer activities. This innovation will greatly assist the community in overcoming problems in fraud.
“In this innovation, customers will be able to easily report fraudulent crimes by simply logging into the available application,” he explained.
EVERYTECH has several features such as an aspiration forum, fintech search, report to OJK, and an educational literacy menu. All menus are designed to allow people to overcome existing problems more easily.
The Islamic Economics student explained that he worked on the essay only three days before the registration closed. With high enthusiasm, Astandi managed to formulate ideas and complete his essay.
The essay was made quite short, only 500 words maximum. Astandi also had some difficulties summarizing his ideas into a single whole in the script.
“There were many obstacles when I was writing my essay, from piling college assignments to preparation for final examinations. But thank God, I was able to win first place,” he said gratefully.
The biggest motivation for the student from Madiun to excel is to make his parents and Universitas Airlangga proud. According to him, the opportunity to become a university student is not easily obtained by all young people in Indonesia.
“The opportunity to become a university student is not easy for all young people to get. I want to optimize my opportunities as a university student,” he concluded. (*)
