UNAIR NEWS- Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) graduation ceremony for September 2021 period ran solemnly on Sunday September 19, 2021. Dra. Hj. Khofifah Indar Parawansa, M.Si as the Chairperson of the Central Board of the Universitas Airlangga Alumni Association (IKA-UNAIR) delivered a speech to the graduates.
The Governor of East Java, Dra. Hj. Khofifah Indar Parawansa, M.Si said a new force would strengthen the quality competitiveness of human resources in Indonesia. This new power is born through the graduates of Universitas Airlangga who have been forged by the value of Excellence with Morality.
The 1984 alumna of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) expressed her gratitude for the ‘forging’ (experience, ed) UNAIR gave that she experienced. She said that during her at FISIP UNAIR, all students were educated well to be the knights of Airlangga.
“Our mind is a knight’s mind, our heart is a knight’s heart, and UNAIR guides our steps as a knight’s step,” said Khofifah.
Airlangga’s students are forged to build, dedicate and serve others with noble characters. It will be the spirit for the entire movement of UNAIR’s graduates for the country.
“I welcome UNAIR graduates at IKA UNAIR from doctoral, master, undergraduate, diploma, and vocational programs. Let’s build a network together,” said Khofifah.
All ranks of IKA UNAIR’s management will try to provide space to reduce unemployment. IKA UNAIR will make every effort so that graduates can get jobs as soon as possible.
“Therefore, at the job fair to be held this September, I invite all members of the IKA UNAIR family everywhere to dedicate their profession to strengthen this network together,” concluded Khofifah.
Meanwhile, UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. H. Mohammad Nasih, SE., MT., Ak., CMA., advised that a great struggle is needed in the future. Prof. Nasih hoped that this graduation would open the minds of the graduates.
“We are weak and lacking creations of Allah, especially in knowledge. We hope that all of you can continue to learn regardless of space and time,” said Prof. Nasih.
Prof. Nasih invited the graduates to be more tolerant and appreciate every view, idea, and notion. In the future, innovations will be required. One source of innovation is to open up ideas and notions from various perspectives.
“Continue to make a good reputation of UNAIR wherever you are because you are now alumni of Universitas Airlangga who have excellence with morality,” concluded Prof. Nasih.
On the second day of the graduation ceremony, the Rector of UNAIR inaugurated 1293 graduates consisting of vocational (D3-D4), undergraduate (S1), master (S2), and doctoral (S3) graduates. Like the previous period, the graduation was held in a hybrid manner, online and offline in the Garuda Mukti Hall, UNAIR’s Management Office. (*)
