UNAIR NEWS- As it was officially announced on Saturday, June 19, 2021, 8 chairman candidates of IKA UA 2020-2025 period, will be elected in the next IKA UA’s 10th Congress on Saturday, July 3, 2021, offline at Airlangga Convention Center, Campus C, and online via Zoom. The election process will be streamed live via Universitas Airlangga’s Youtube channel.
The 10th IKA UA Congress’ Head of organizing committee Jazid, CA., Ak., explained that representatives of IKA UA across Indonesia will follow the congress. These representatives are from the central level management, commissariat level management, region level management, and branch office level management. Until Saturday, June 19, 2021, there are 106 representatives listed in total.
“We will wait, there is a possibility for more representatives. It may reach around 118 representatives,” said Jazid.
Jazid also said that all the members of the congress will determine the dynamics and the outcome of the 10th IKA UA Congress. Jazid added that there will be observers. These observers are from the Central Advisory Council and some figures agreed upon before.
“We hope the event will run well, and will produce better management and work program as outcomes for the betterment of IKA UA, especially to support Universitas Airlangga,” said Jazid after the announcement of the eight chairman candidates of IKA UA on Saturday, June 19, 2021, in Amerta Hall, Campus C.
As we are still in the middle of pandemic, Jazid said that all the health and safety protocols have been fully implemented to hold the 10th IKA UA Congress. For example, in terms of the permit to regional Covid-19 task force, and the provision of Covid-19 test facility.
“Of course, we are hoping that all the test results will come back negative. We also provide a GeNose test facility to test the representative before they enter the room. For representatives coming from outside Surabaya and or the region, of course, Covid-19 free certificate for their transportation can also be a consideration,” revealed Jazid.
“If they are tested positive by GeNose, the person will then be tested with an antigen test. We will also provide the tests,” added Jazid.
Meanwhile, Jazid emphasized that the 10th IKA UA Congress can be viewed by all UNAIR alumni throughout Indonesia via Universitas Airlangga’s Youtube channel. However, only the opening and the closing ceremony will be streamed live. The opening ceremony is scheduled at 9.00-10.00 WIB, and the closing ceremony will be held at 17.00 WIB.
“The closing ceremony will announce all the congress, outcomes, the resume of all planned working programs, and the most important decision, who will be the next chairman of IKA UA for the next period,” concluded Jazid.
