UNAIR NEWS – Starting 2021, the management of Universitas Airlangga’s Psychology Student Executive Board (BEM ) was officially inaugurated with Fahrizky Syah Novandy as its new head of management. Inaugurated on Sunday, January 17, 2021, the main step that the 5th semester student will take is to coordinate with Dean of the Faculty of Psychology to discuss the work program design for the next year.
“The discussion is also carried out to understand the dean’s wishes more clearly,” he added.
The main program launched by the Surabaya-born student was to coordinate and assist all the needs of Psychology student family, especially due to the effects of Covid 19 pandemic. To realize it, Rizky said that it demands collaboration with university management, university student executive board, as well as BEM from other faculties.
“Even though the pandemic is an obstacle to direct coordination, on the other hand, the pandemic also teaches people to be more creative and improve good time management skill in governance,” he explained.
The student who was born on November 16, 1999 also said that he would launch two new programs. Both are internal scholarships to help Psychology who are experiencing financial constraints, but are constrained by time for filing an appeal and difficulties in applying for external scholarships. Also, mental health platform for UNAIR students as a whole.
“Seeing the lack of mental health facilities for UNAIR students, we plan to collaborate with the entire academic community and several other related start-ups to run this platform,” he explained.
Finally, Rizky hopes that this year’s management will run well and be focused, especially in providing mental health facilities for UNAIR students.
