UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) as a university that supports Kampus Merdeka program always builds cooperation and collaboration with various parties. This time, UNAIR has established a Joint Innovation Program with PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia. The signing session was carried out by Prof. Nasih and Riza AN Rukmana virtually through Zoom platform on Thursday, December 10, 2020.
UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, SE., MT, Ak., CMA expressed his gratitude and appreciation to PT Telkom Indonesia. It is an honor for UNAIR to be able to work with a leading telecommunication company in Indonesia.
“The current pandemic condition causes telecommunication and interaction between people limited, so they have to use telecommunications facilities. PT Telkom Indonesia is a very superior company on it, “he explained.
Prof. Nasih emphasized that one of the important media to strengthen ties is connectivity. PT Telkom Indonesia is able to prepare it well so that in the future we can all stay in touch.
“PT Telkom Indonesia as an institution that provides connectivity, will strengthen ties between all of us so that it will support the collaboration and cooperation of various parties,” he added.
Apart from cooperation in conventional fields, such as providing internships and guest lectures, there are other collaborations to be carried out between UNAIR and PT Telkom Indonesia. The scope of cooperation includes Technical and Learning, Joint Research, Joint Development and Innovation Management.
Technological developments, changes in the education system, and the emergence of the industrial revolution 4.0 require all aspects to be more innovative and creative. According to him, innovation is impossible without the collaboration of various parties. Innovation will bring together combinations and improvements from various aspects.
“We are ready to collaborate to complement each other, to produce an innovative product that is not only good technically, but also has meaning because it is substantial and the content are carefully designed,” he said.
In this case, PT Telkom Indonesia and UNAIR can also collaborate on many aspects related to the digitilization process using digital platforms in the fields of health, pharmacy, veterinary medicine and so on. There is a need for cooperation between connectivity and technical aspects in the digital platform.
“With this MoU, there will be opportunities for us to implement the independent campus and freedom of learning mandated by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The opportunity to collaborate between UNAIR and PT Telkom Indonesia will have a very good impact for the good of the community, nation and state, “he concluded.
