UNAIR NEWS – To develop the creativity of high school students and Indonesian students during the Covid-19 pandemic, Radiology Student Association (HIMARO), Faculty of Vocational Studies Universitas Airlangga held a national level Radfair 2020 competition. The competition also introduced radiology to Indonesian students.
Radfair is an event from HIMARO which was held for the first time in 2016 and 2020. The differences from both events are the implementation which organized online this year.
Luthfi Septian Darmawan as Head of Radfair 2020 revealed that there are differences between Radfair 2020 and Radfair 2016. Moreover, the competition is conducted online, and the competition category is student vlog, essay competition and poster competition.
“The competition level which was previously only for Surabaya and its surroundings. Now, the competition is made for the national level,” added Lutfi.
Luthfi added that the theme for 2020 Radfair was”Creative and Innovative Creation in Optimizing Image Results in the field of Radiology as a form of Sustainable Health Development”.
“This theme is expected that the participants, both high school students and university students, can improve their competence in creative and innovative thinking in the field of radiology and can educate the public about radiology,” added Faculty Vocational Studies student.
During the announcement, there was a message and impression from the winner of Radfair 2020 competition. “I’m grateful to participate in this competition and to win high school poster category competition. Besides that, I learn about radiology and radiation,” said Akbar Ario Satrio, the winner of the high school poster category competition.
“In this event, the students participated in introducing radiation in the health sector,” said Taufiqurrahman Sidqi, S.Si., M.Si. as the Advisor for Radiology Student Association of Faculty of Vocational Studies Universitas Airlangga during the announcement of 2020 Radfair competition on Monday, September 28 via live Instagram.
