Elected by consensus
Meanwhile, UNAIR Rector Prof. Moh Nasih emphasized that the process of selection of UNAIR Rector by consensus has been for three periods. According to him, the achievement of consensus is a good climate to support activities in higher education institutions.
“The consensus habits are very good and supportive to the process of activity in higher education. Because with the consensus, of course there are no more boxes and barriers, “said the Rector.
“This consensus model is a very good model for us to continue, especially at the higher education level which should be kept away from aspects that are political in nature,” he added.
Some important figures attending the inauguration include the Chairman of Board of Trustees Prof. Hatta Ali, Chairman of Academic Senate Prof. Djoko Santoso, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Indonesian Culture Prof. Muhajir Effendy, Surabaya Mayor Tri Rismaharini, and some internal guests.
