Faculty of Law Alumni Visit Rector to Support UNAIR

UNAIR NEWS – Deputy Attorney General for Supervision (Jamwas) of Indonesian Attorney General’s Office (AGO) M. Yusni, S.H., M.H., with the staff visited Universitas Airlangga on Friday, November 1, 2019. They were welcomed by UNAIR Rector Prof. Moh Nasih with other leaderships in Rector’s Office, Campus C Management Office.

During the visit, Yusni who is also an alumnus of Faculty of Law UNAIR expressed his joy to be able to visit the alma mater campus and meet directly with the Rector of UNAIR. Yusni, who is also the Chairperson of UNAIR Faculty of Law Alumni Association, hoped that through this visit, the alumni performance can bring UNAIR to be a reputable university, both nationally and globally.

“As alumni who were given much knowledge and are already active, of course, we cannot forget that service,” Yusni said.

He also stated that the alumni who had been active in the government are ready if at any time the university needed them for assistance. For example, in the involvement of reputable alumni as informants supporting campus accreditation.

“For example, accreditation that requires support from alumni. Alumni (who are in, ed) Jakarta are also ready to bring UNAIR known better to the public,” he said.

Yusni revealed, openness to participate in helping universities was a reward that could be given by alumni, for the knowledge they gained.

Furthermore, Yusni also revealed the possibility of cooperation between the Indonesian Attorney General and UNAIR. According to him, the cooperation can be done in terms of scientific seminars and outreach to the community.

He hoped that in 65th Anniversary of UNAIR which will be commemorated in November 2019, UNAIR’s progress will affect the community positively. Alumni could also improve their connection with the university.

“I hope alumni could do better, a lot of communication with UNAIR, and perform well in their respective fields,” he said. (*)
