UNAIR NEWS – Airlangga Knights never stop to make achievements. This time, the realization came from Faculty of Nursing (FKp) students who had just won second place in Popular Poster Competition Category at 2019 Public Health National Competition. The competition was held by Faculty of Public Health (FKM) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) on Friday, October 11-13.
FKp students who won these achievements were Dwi Yanti Rachmasari Tartila and Shavira from the 2016 class. In the poster competition with the theme on Optimizing the Role of Health on Industrial Revolution Era 4.0 “Sarapan Sehat Bersama Isi Piringku.”
“We selected this topic because the prevalence of malnutrition in Indonesia is high. Therefore we raised ‘Sarapan Sehat Bersama Isi Piringku’ as a topic to improve the quality of nutrition in Indonesia, said Dwi as the team leader.
Raising the topic, Dwi and Shavira made it into the top five posters who passed the final stage. Moreover, they faced four other campus delegations, namely from Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya (PPNS), UNAIR, Universitas Katolik, and one of Vocational Schools in Surabaya.
“The preparation was quite long, one more week. We study the material and prepare the documents. We also practice approximately four times in a week, “Dwi said.
According to Dwi, the strength of his team was strong, and they highlighted the essential points conveyed through posters.
In the competition, Dwi and Shavira also won the favourite poster competition and gained the most likes on Instagram. Moreover, Dwi won the Gold Medal and Special Award at Shanghai International Exhibition of Innovations.
She gave a message to other UNAIR students, specifically for FKp students. “Never give up. Keep trying! “Dwi concluded. (*)
