Actively participating in various activities and organizations did not prevent it from being able to continue to carve out achievements. Lalu Ary Kurniawan Hardi, Political Science student who has just won 1st Place as Oustanding Student of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UNAIR 2019.
The guy who is familiarly called Ary was happy to share his experiences during the selection of Outstanding Student (Mawapres) on the faculty level. He claimed to be very grateful for this achievement.
“I’m grateful and surprised to be the first winner of Outstanding Student. However, I still have a big responsibility because I will represent FISIP for the selection for the university level, “he said.
This event was not new to Ary, and he crowned as the second place of Outstanding Student FISIP in 2018. He was proposed to be University Oustanding Student candidate.
The guy from Lombok is famous for being very active in participating in various competitions, especially in the debate competition. Some of his best debating achievements are Top 10 Best Speaker of 2017 Political and Government Days National University Debating Championship, FISIP Debating Competition – 2017 FISIP Scientific Student Week, and many more. Not only good at debating, but he also won scientific writing competitions. Ary’s debating abilities also made him as Head of ‘Indonesian Language’ Division Airlangga Debating Society and UNAIR Political Science Student Debate Coaching Team.
His academic achievements are even outstanding in the international stage. He was selected as a participant in Indonesia Youth Ambassador Chapter South Korea (IYAS) by Youth for Future in 2018. Then in July 2019, Ary was chosen to be the best delegation from Indonesia representing Universitas Airlangga at Chonnam National University Summer Session Student Exchange on June 22 – July 20 in Gwangju, South Korea.
Besides being famous as a student who diligently defended academic achievement, Ary has a hobby in the field of literacy, namely writing poetry. He published poetry anthology books and has been sold nationally. His hobby in writing poetry also led Ary won several competitions as the best and favorite writer in several writing events.
“For FISIP UNAIR students, don’t ever give up on being the best, both in the scope of the organization and other achievements. “he said.
He motivated other students that they need to enjoy the process “Don’t give up, because all those achievements will open new opportunities” said him.
In the future, the student who received the Kemendikbud RI scholarship also has the desire to return to Lombok after graduating from Doctoral Studies and building his homeland to be better.
“I want to go back to Lombok and build a Social and Political Institution because there is only one faculty of social and political science. It has only been established for about 5-6 years. I want to be an academic and help to produce quality social and political science students, “said Ary. (*)
