UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga as one of the best universities in Indonesia continue in making achievements. Bismillah Team consisting of Alvin AKS1 2017, Wilda AKS1 2017, Ratna AKS1 2018, and Nely AKS1 2018 won second place in Business Plan Competition held by BEM Vocational Studies of Universitas Indonesia, Depok on Friday, September 27.
Furthermore, the team presented their business ideas entitled “Gentelong” in front of four other finalists from UGM, UNPAD, and IPB. Alvin and his team said their ideas were relevant to the advancement of tourism in Banyuwangi.
“Gentelong is an extension of Millennial Tour Guide Movement with Lare Osing. The purpose is improving the tourism sector in Banyuwangi Regency by using a Travelmate application, ” he said.
The presentation started with registration and the Fifth group presentation. Moreover, Alvin and the team attended Talk Show seminar with the theme “How to Build and Deal the Millennial for Industry 4.0” which was participated in by exceptional presenters on the second day and the winner announcement of 2019 business plan competition.
Alvin and the team did not expect to win the competition because their preparation is too short. Moreover, there was a competitor won the best representative of tertiary institutions.
“We only have one week to prepare everything before the D-day presentation,” Alvin said.
The most exciting experience according to Alvin and the team was a trip from Banyuwangi to Jakarta with the train. They will not stop to continue in achieving more achievement for the university. (*)
