UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga Career and Entrepreneurship Development Center (PPKK) held the first Airlangga Internship Fair (AIF) 2019 on Wednesday, April 24 at Airlangga Convention Center (ACC) building Campus C UNAIR. The event with the theme of ‘Interns Wanted’ is specifically for all UNAIR students. The AIF 2019 was held to prepare students in professional world.
The opening of the event was attended by Lastiko Endi Rahmantyo, S.S., M. Hum., as Head of 2019 AIF Committee. In her remarks, hopefully students will improve their skill. She also stated AIF 2019 was the first event of PPKK UNAIR.
“This is the first event with twelve companies and several private companies.” Lastiko said.
The company involved in the event were PT. DIKA, PT. Charoen Pokphand Indonesia, Tbk. PT. Wilo Pumps Indononesia, PT. BPR Lestasri, Bank Muamalat Indonesia, PT. INKA (Persero), Royal Hospitality Management, SyariHub, PT. TIKI JNE, JUGGLE JACK, and PT. PLN (Persero).
Moreover, Dr. Elly Muadziroh, M.Sc., drg., as Head of PPKK UNAIR welcomed the opening event. She said the purpose of holding 2019 AIF activity for UNAIR students to get to know the company for their internship place.
In addition, she said PPKK UNAIR had previously run a certified internship in collaboration with Indonesian Human Capital Forum (FHCI) and BUMN.
On that occasion, she said that not all study programs could fulfill their courses. For this reason, Elly appealed students to be more selective in choosing the company.
“Every week we have activities to prepare students in the field of training and soft skills.” Elly said.
For information, Airlanga Internship Fair 2019 was one of PPKK UNAIR activities. Moreover there were Airlangga Carrier Fair, Campus Hiring, and entrepreneurial activities. (*)
