Legislative School Makes B-PHA More Organized Organization

UNAIR NEWS – Banyuwangi Public Health Association (B-PHA) is the Public Health Program Student Association in Off Main Campus Program (PSDKU) Universitas Airlangga in Banyuwangi. Last week, B-PHA held a Legislative School at Room MA102 Sobo campus.

The Legislative School is one of B-PHA’s work programs, which is held by CASA Bureau (Controlling Assessment System Aspiration). The program with two sessions started at 08.00 addressed all Public Health students and B-PHA administrators.

In the first session, Muhammad Ziddan Zaelani as 2019 Student Legislative Council UNAIR conveyed the functions of DLM such as aspirations, supervision and assembly. Then, Ziddan added about the procedure for the assembly, as well as the things that underlie other disciplines.

“In the assembly all have their respective roles such as the presidium, various types of participants. Even the participants must understand the meaning of knocking hammer, as well as the terms in the assembly process,” he explained.

In the second session, Indah Eka Novita as Head of FKM Student Legislative Body explained the documents and the establishment of legislation that will be presented. Starting from the stages in the making, the framework of the manuscript to what must be done if there is a change.

“Changes related to regulations are carried out conditionally by inserting, adding, omitting, and replacing. However, when changes are made too often, the regulation will be revoked, “he said.

The Legislative School was concluded with an assembly with participants to be a presidium. Then divide participants into groups to discuss case studies and make additional chapters in legislation related to the activity.

In this regard, I’atatul Ulya Dewi as CASA Bureau Coordinator explained the purpose and urgency of the event. According to him, the activity aims to improve the ability of all Public Health students, especially B-PHA administrators themselves.

“Because, before doing something, there must be rules that regulate the course of the activities so that they do not deviate. So, this legislative school event is very necessary to train students in designing rules, so later it can be applied to every activity, ” she added.

In the end, she hoped all members would continue to establish friendship in the future, either among administrators and members or with FKM UNAIR Surabaya.

“And finally, regulations must continue to develop so that the organization can be managed well and expectations can be achieved,” she concluded (*)
