Second Day of Graduation Period in March 2019, Rector Graduates 1,185 Students

UNAIR NEWS – On the second day of graduation on March 2019 period, Rector of Universitas Airlangga Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, SE., MT., Ak., CMA., graduated 1,185 students at Airlangga Convention Center (ACC), Campus C UNAIR on Sunday March 10, 2019. Along with that number, on the previous day on Saturday March 09, 2019), Prof. Nasih graduated 1,121 students. In total, there were 2,306 students graduated by UNAIR rector.

In his remarks, Prof. Nasih gave advice to all of graduates. The responsibility after becoming a university graduates, as well as educated citizens was presented by Rector on this occasion.

“The knowledge that you learned during your time in university requires you to develop your knowledge. Including community service, nation and state, “he said.

In addition, when they work in various places, alumni are expected to remain firm in their values ​​or Excellent with Morallity values. Which also became the tagline of UNAIR. Not only ability in academics but also morality.

“Universitas Airlangga graduates should know how to behave ethically and I guarantee, they have good behavior and morals, “he said.

“This is one of the key values ​​of how graduates in facing challenges that arise in the future,” he added.

Prof. Nasih said that to win the challenge in the future, there are a number of values ​​that students and graduates need to consider. Among them are independence, innovation, systematic and critical thinking and the ability to establish networks or networking.

Regarding to this ability, said Prof. Nasih, UNAIR continues to train these abilities through a number of programs. Well accommodated and channeled through policies in academic and non-academic fields.

“Few important things are self-reliant and innovation as the keys to our success in future. Therefore, we have tried various curriculum content to develop and cultivate them. Especially the matter of value, independence and innovation, “he said.

“So, even though there are challenges, graduates of Universitas Airlangga will be able to face it in the future,” he added.

In the end, before upcoming national celebration on April, Prof. Nasih also advised to participate in the activity, 2019 General Elections. Students and graduates of UNAIR as part of educated community members have the obligation to build democracy in Indonesia.
