UNAIR NEWS – “My struggle during my time in college was focused on my education. Although, as an athlete is required to practice regularly every day, but I tried to do it all.” Said Hezby Vierdausytha, outstanding graduate from Faculty of Psychology Universitas Airlangga.
The Surabaya-born graduate, January 24, 1997 added that during her time on college, she mostly participated outside campus activities. For instance, taking a part in provincial and national swimming competition, and also practicing at Suryanaga swimming club Surabaya.
“In addition, Hezby also established Airlangga Aquatic organization in 2016 and became a secretary. Aside from being a committee for Airlangga Aquatic, she was one of the coach on 2016-2017. From there, I can practice and participate in various championships between students to uplift UNAIR name in swimming competition.” he explained.
Moreover, the girl who is familiarly called Hezby has dozens of swimming achievement. The biggest achievement she has ever gotten is getting 3 medals at the XIV National Student Sports Week (POMNAS) in Aceh 2015, there were second place winner for 50 meter breast stroke swimming, third place winner for 100 meter breaststroke swimming, and third place winner for medley relay swimming 4 × 100 meters.
After graduating from UNAIR, Hezby wanted to continuing her carrer in swimming. Besides, she also hoped to continue her education in Master Degree of Psychology on UNAIR with a concentration in developing swimming sports in Indonesia.
Therefore, she advised all of UNAIR students that everyone have to be persistent and responsible for your future carrier.
