UNAIR NEWS – It has been 4 year since Faculty of Vocational Studies UNAIR inaugurated in 2014. Its existence has always provided innovation in various applied scientific fields. Faculty of Vocational Studies is the 14th faculty of Universitas Airlangga based on the Statute of Universitas Airlangga.
Stipulated through Government Regulation Number 30 of 2014, on May 14, 2014. It was corroborated by Universitas Airlangga Rector’s Decree Number 1539 / UN3 / 2014 concerning Adjustment of Vocational School as Faculty of Vocational Studies and Faculty Flag Determination on June 4, 2014.
Being the youngest faculty in one of the largest campuses in Indonesia is a big responsibility of UNAIR’s Faculty of Vocational Studies to continue to move and process. This is evidenced by many achievements and international collaboration pioneered by the faculty managing the diploma program. It was even more special when Faculty of Vocational Studies UNAIR was able to add a new program, Nursing D3 to complete 18 previous programs.
In collaboration with the Student Executive Board of Faculty of Vocational Studies and Student Association in the faculty, the event was enlivened by special Guest Star Yovie And Nuno. The implementation of this year was different because the anniversary was celebrated while holding a series of major agenda of Indonesian Vocational Higher Education Forum (FPTVI).
Starting with the activities of Indonesian Vocational Higher Education V Congress in Garuda Mukti Hall, October 16, ICVIAS 2018 at Wyndham Hotel Surabaya, October 17, Indonesian Vocational Olympiad Final at Airlangga Convention Center October 18-19, and closed with Yovie And Nuno performance on October 19.
Bumantara Cakrawala as the theme which means to soar high to the sky. Bayu Yuliansyah, a student of Banking Management D3 program explained that the representation that was wanted to be conveyed from the theme was a big hope, although it is still young, Faculty of Vocational Studies UNAIR had to be brave enough to dream and make its best achievement as high as the sky.
“As part of UNAIR Faculty of Vocational Studies (committee) we want to present the best work in the 4th anniversary of this beloved alma mater. As well as providing an overview to the community of the great ideals of Faculty of Vocational Studies to contribute to the beloved Universitas Airlangga, “explained the 5th semester student who was the Head Executive of Diplomers 4.0.
